The Eighth April Spring People’s Art Festival took place in Pyongyang, the capital of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, from April 12 to 18, Juche 112 (2023) to mark the 111th birth anniversary of the great leader Comrade Kim Il Sung. Art troupes, art squads, itinerary art groups and amateur art groups of enterprises, factories and farms took part in the festival. The performers staged colourful programmes, elevating the festive mood of the significant April holiday. Prizes for group were awarded to the top 12 units, prizes for ensemble to 20 works, prizes for individual to 48 members and prizes to eight magicians and magic fans according to their rankings. The festival powerfully demonstrated their unshakable faith and will to bring earlier a great, new victory in socialist construction under the leadership of the Workers’ Party of Korea.
