The Korea Art Exchange Association, founded as the Korea Performing Art Exchange Society on August 30, 1980, is an organization specializing in exchanges with other countries in the sectors of music, dance, fine arts and acrobatics.
  The association has successfully sponsored the travelling performances of the DPRK’s art troupes, including the performance of the revolutionary opera The Flower Girl in China, and the performances of Russian, Chinese and other foreign art troupes in Pyongyang.
  It comprises various departments, including those for art exchanges, art transfer, and other supply departments.
  The association was honoured with Order of the National Flag First Class for creditably fulfilling its mission and role in conducting art exchanges with foreign countries.
