The song Victorious May is a march reflecting the high level of revolutionary enthusiasm and militant stamina of the Korean workers who turned out to successfully carry out the national economic plan, the first of its kind after the country’s liberation from the Japanese military rule, under the wise leadership of the great leader Comrade Kim Il Sung.
   It sings of the dignified appearance of the workers who are determined to repay with increased production the benefits of the Labor Law enforced under the leadership of the President Kim Il Sung and their creative enthusiasm and invincible might.
   Every May Day, the song resounds more loudly throughout the country, impressively showing the history of creation by the workers of the DPRK who built a new, prosperous Korea with the pride and self-confidence as the masters of creation.
   The song will reverberate forever, conveying the revolutionary spirit of the workers of the DPRK and the history of their struggle to build a thriving country by dint of united strength.
