As the main law of the country, the Constitution of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea stipulates the major principles of state and social activities in political, economic, cultural and other fields. It defines the direction and standards for enacting all the other laws and regulations.
   Today, thanks to the wise leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, the laws of the DPRK provide a legal guarantee for the wellbeing of the people, contributing to demonstrating the dignity and prestige of the country.
   As the country is being led by Kim Jong Un, a leader with extraordinary ideological and theoretical wisdom and seasoned leadership abilities, the Constitution will retain its basic character as the people’s law firmly guaranteeing the bright future of the country and the dignity and wellbeing of the generations to come.
