Song of Mt Maebong is a folk-song-style song created during the Fatherland Liberation War.
  It sings of the indomitable fighting spirit of the soldiers of the Korean People’s Army who heroically defended the heights of the country under the wise leadership of the great leader Comrade Kim Il Sung and the imposing appearance of Mt Maebong.
  It reflects the Korean people’s high spirit and confidence in sure victory that the enemy can never destroy nor break through the defence lines of the country as impregnable as Mt Maebong, whatever their desperate efforts to occupy the Republic.
  The wartime song still instils in the mind of the Korean people the spirit of defending the country displayed by the heroic soldiers in the 1950s.
