It has been 73 years since the spectacular fireworks display lit up the sky over this land to celebrate the Korean people’s victory in the Fatherland Liberation War.
All the people are full of great excitement and delight in celebrating the V-Day, with great pride and self-confidence with which they have glorified from one generation to the next the tradition of victory created by the first defenders of the DPRK with their extraordinary valour and devoted sacrifice.
July 27 is an auspicious holiday demonstrating the might of the DPRK which has adorned its national flag with the myth of heroism and mightiness over the last 70-odd years and a significant occasion of inspiring the Korean people with the will to carry forward the tradition of victory.
All the Korean people will continue to glorify the history of the great victory in the war by inheriting the pure loyalty to the leader and indomitable fighting spirit and traits of the victorious wartime generation.
