  Successes Achieved by Pyongyang Kim Won Gyun University of Music and Dance in Juche 111 (2022)

  •   By conducting education and scientific research dynamically true to the idea of attaching importance to talents training, Pyongyang Kim Won Gyun University of Music and Dance achieved many successes last year.
       First of all, the university conducted educational work with primary attention paid to training excellent musicians and reserves. In this course it trained distinguished vocalists and performers, thus making a great contribution to the development of the Juche-oriented art.
       Many students of the university took part in major national performances including the grand performance held in celebration of the 74th founding anniversary of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea. The successful 45th National Traditional Music Presentation and other university performances clearly illustrated the level of the development of the Juche-oriented art.
       Hwang Ji Chol, a researcher at the Korean Traditional Music Institute, was awarded the title of academician for his great contribution to the development of the musical science of the country. He is the first academician in the field of musical science of the country.
       In addition, Mun Song Jin, section chief of the Korean Traditional Music Institute, received a doctor’s degree, four teachers achieved associate professor’s degree.
