The sun of the people–this appellation reflects the great career of President Kim Il Sung, who devoted his all for his country and people. He liberated the country, which was writhing as a colony, founded an ever-victorious guide, the Workers’ Party of Korea, and built his country into a powerful country, independent, self-supporting and self-reliant in national defence.
   Under his leadership, the Korean people, who had been maltreated for thousands of years, became masters of history, who carve out their destiny independently, and Korea turned into a people’s paradise, a socialist country.
   The exploits performed by him by regarding the people as heaven all his life will be handed down to posterity, and he will live for ever as the sun of the people.
